Staying on track

on track

When I worked with YWAM I was involved with many outreaches and outreach teams. One of the things that would be stressed in preparing people for outreaches was that things would go wrong. The first thing that the team should do when things went wrong was pray. It was a chance to get back on track.

In Gen 24 we read the story of Abraham getting a wife for Isaac. He sent his servant away to find a wife amongst Abraham’s family. When the servant gets to his destination, the first thing he does is pray. He wants to stay on track and complete the task he has been given. He wants to know how he can complete the tasks and asks for advice. God answers him in a positive way and he is successful.

It makes me think about how often I’m praying to stay on track. Am I giving God time to keep me on track?
