About

I’m a husband and father of 2 beautiful children.

I’m an Australian who has lived, studied and shared life in Europe, Asia and Africa.

I’ve pastored churches and worked in missions.

I have been a student of the Bible, both formally and informally for more than 25 years.

My prayer is that this blog helps people apply some of the Bible’s truth is a way that is meaningful in our current world

I was publishing three times a week, but now aim for once a week.

Ontoxenos means being foreign. Those who follow Jesus have a heavenly citizenship, they should be in this world, but not of this world. They should be different, or foreign.

  1. Thank you Nathan for joining up with us, it is appreciated, I look forward to sharing with you again

Yes it is good to know God’s Truth as empowered by the Holy Spirit and with God’s wisdom both of which we ask for and receive in Christ Jesus, as He leads us into all Truth.

  2. There is no book that fascinates me like the Bible. I love the way absolutely everything fits despite the numerous authors over a few thousand years. This alone is evidence that it is an “extra-terrestrial” communique…by which I mean that no human could have possibly written it – only the One who is outside time and space. It was good of the Lord to provide us such a deep view into His heart, wasn’t it?

May the Lord bless your work here, and give you a bountiful harvest for your labor.

Oh, and thanks for following my blog. 🙂

    In His Majesty’s service,
    Tami

  4. What a good bonus from the Father to introduce me to you and your posts. Great looking group you have there, Nate. We have two kiddos, a tad bit older than yours. I’ve been in the counseling ministry for about 18 years, and for the last year and a few months I have been recovering from the big burnout that just might happen, if you choose to do ministry. I’ve worked mostly with high-risk folks. Now, I’m spending time with my family. Okay, Man. Peace. And, thanks for stopping by the Other Side of the Trees.

  5. Just wanted to stop by and thank you for the follow. I like that you spend some time in the Old Testament. There’s a great deal there that we can learn from. Thanks again for the follow.
